Is a headline that some Wisconsin paper will undoubtably use this year. They will probably run it after David Riske gets promoted to closer.
I like Riske, kind of. You should read what Baseball Forecaster says about him:
“Why a sub 3.00 ERA is history:
– Strand rate likely to regress.
– Borderline command.
– Rising FB rate in 2nd half.
Has been outperforming xERA for years, eventually his luck will run out. Why not 2008?”
Kind of negative, no? At the rate he’s performed this season Riske is on pace for 162 appearances, 81 saves, 243 Ks and a 0.00 ERA(Q: Why does ESPN bother projecting a seasons of stats after 2 games?). Not likely to happen ever, but since the Brewers are 2-0 and the Cubs are 0-2 it’s impossible to rain on my parade today.
